DAY 1

Event: Trip to the Orwell by Luxury Coach

Start your weekend off with a trip with the National Soul Collective to The Orwell, Wigan.

The Orwell has been running for six years, a very popular soul event. Playing quality and 60ss and 70ss soul with a hint of northern and crossover and a splash of new modern soul. The spiritual home of TENT Music!!!!

Situated on Morecambe's promenade facing towards a picturesque bay sits The Kings Arms.   A popular night spot for the locals of an evening, but it’ll be upstairs in the large function room where one April afternoon, soul lovers will gather on a large wooden dancefloor. Top quality DJ’s playing across the board soul music, with a leaning towards Y2k Soulful Dance Jazz Funk with some Mecca classics and a splash of the 70ss.

The Bath Hotel is well known for it's hospitality and its links within Morecambe's music scene past and present. It's seen some hard times over the last few years, but with a recent refit completed and Dave Makinson at the helme, good things are in store again for this atmospheric pub/venue.

Downstairs with Mick & Sharon you'll be looked after throughout the weekend, with quality food, soothing beers and a large screen TV. Morecambe Football Club is the venue for the Sunday afternoon Alldayer, and in fine North West tradition it’s a real mixture of old and new. We will feature the weekender anthems and singalongs and some mighty fine soul tunes.

We would like to thank Peter Cross and the Directors of Morecambe Football Club for their kind permission to use this afternoons venue.

Food will be available from 5.00pm till 9.00pm and a fully licensed bar with real ales on tap too will be open throughout the day.
