Morecambe Soulfest

Seaside Soul Club combines with a National Northern Soul Tour, for a full day of Soul in Morecambe on Saturday 18th June 2005.

After a touch of misfortunate Tour scheduling, Seaside Soul Club will be making changes to our normal Club Night in June to support a National Northern Soul Tour "The History of Northern Soul" which will be appearing at the Carleton Inn on Saturday 18th June 2005.

In doing so the Club will now form a major part of what will be a 12hr Morecambe Soulfest

These will be the days attractions;

MORECAMBE SOULFEST - Saturday June 18th 2005

2.00pm - Seaside Soul Alldayer @ Upstairs Downstairs, Morecambe
Warm up with quality soul in the downstairs bar of our home "The Upstairs Downstairs"
Music will be brought to you by Seaside Soul DJ's and Guests. The pub serves some glorious grub so there's no excuse not to stay all day. The beer's not bad either.

6.00/6.30pm - Seaside Soul Alldayer continues
Short break while we move Upstairs to our home venue at the Uppy

6.30/7.00pm to 11.00pm - Seaside Soul Alldayer
The soulfest continues until 11.00pm with your favourite Club DJ's. It may be a shortened night, but it certainly won't be in terms of quality soul you've come to expect at the seaside. We also hope to welcome Tom Hilverkus, a special guest DJ from Germany.

With the cost of tickets for the National Tour at the Carleton £8.00, Seaside Soul club will not be charging admission to the Club Night on this occasion; Admission will be totally £ Free

8.30pm "The History of Northern Soul" Tour 2005 @ Carleton Inn, Morecambe
Carleton Gets Underway at 8.30pm with the Main Northern Room and a Seaside Soul Modern Room

"WIGAN CASINO original DJ Kev Roberts and Chris King, a former hitmaker with 90's hitmakers 'Please Don't Go' and discoverer of many unreleased Motown masters will be appearing at this National Tour event.
Kev Roberts is the man behind the launch of the successful KFC TV ads and wrote the NORTHERN SOUL TOP 500, and more recently a consultant to the series 'No Angels' currently on Channel 4.

The evening centres itself around the current boom in soul music, and with the amount of experience on hand it should be a superb gathering.

Complimenting the music in the main room by additional DJ's Kev Sowerby, Toma & Carol Mcarthy, will be The Seaside Soul Club Modern Room. This local Soul Clubs hot modern club DJ's will be firing all all cylinders as we head for a 2pm maybe 3pm finish."
