I recall...
I was sat on my couch on the Friday evening just one week after the
Togetherness weekender at Cala Gran, remembering the previous Friday
(as all 1500 probably did that night) with a chuckle and a touch of
disappointment that we can't just go and do it all over again.
What a
weekend, its always a delight. Yes I know there's a few problems with
our local weekender (see
Soul Source Forum Thread), dancefloor's, beer prices and the fact
that you can never get one of those fluffy toy things out of the grapple
machines in the arcade area; When will I learn
.. I did hear however
that Sean T managed to fluked one
git.
However
for music, for me and for all of the Seaside crew who were there, it
was blinding, especially the Tent on Friday and Saturday.
Highlights
must be Duffs' story on the eventful Friday evening with Bobby Patterson,
girlfriend and a couple of security guards
nuff said.
Saturday
afternoon - priceless. Soul music, beer, ladies, England Rugby rolling
over the Aussies (..titter.) and England trouncing Argentina
in the last few minutes at the footie. Simply memorable. But to top
it off in the evening
.
William
Bell Live on stage backed by Snake Davis and the Suspicions. Outstanding.
It included a Bobby Patterson 4 track groove to set it all off. You
knew you were watching a professional when you heard Mr Bell sing, for
me he topped the show with a great duet with an outstanding backing
singer on "Private Number".
I slept
soundly
Sunday
afternoon and T-shirts were on and I do remember that the beer was going
down very nicely
.
Thankfully
we had pictures!
A tiring
but fantastic weekend as always.
Thank
you Togetherness
