Item: New Website Launched
Well it was time for a wee change for the website, and to be honest our first site was built on only a bit of HTML knowledge, and was becoming a bit of a pain to keep updated.
It didn’t help when the fun police got in touch for copyright infringement, oops, owing to three mp3’s that had been uploaded in our sounds area. !!! So this time we’re going to be good boys and utilise the web a bit more.
So in our new sounds section you’ve got our You Tube Playlists to enjoy as well as links to DJ Playlists, Radio Stations, and Music Downloads. We’ll be keeping on top of this section with regular updates and postings.
You’ll also see that we’ve a bit of advertising on the site this time. Hopefully it’s not too intrusive to your browsing pleasure, it’s intended to be more helpful and useful to you as you browse, as we’ve used both Amazon and Ebay listings with a soul feel, just so you don’t miss that all important track or album that’s up for sale. So please help with our construction cost by using the links if any thing catches your eye. Cheers.
We’ve collected a large number of photographs from soul nights and events since we started the Club, and with the old site, the uploading was very time-consuming.
So for our new site we’re using Google’s Picasa Web Albums to host all our photo’s. It’s a nice little place to store and view photo’s, either individually or as a readymade slideshow, plus our settings of the albums allows you to download them, tag 'em and even comment on them. So please make use of it.
