Seaside Soul’s making waves
Shortly before the Seaside Soul Club look towards their 6th Anniversary celebrations in October, the club with it’s posse of quality soul DJ’s and devotees will be waving the seaside goodbye for a while as they head towards the city of Lancaster for another of their flourishing “Soul in the City” Club nights.
The Phoenix Club in Lancaster on Saturday 12th September is again the venue for their popular blend of city soul music which mixes 60’s soul, Northern Belters & Motown movers and has a bit of mid tempo madness thrown in.
“It’s a gem of a venue, especially for our type of night.” Jason Mills from the club explains, “It’s a venue with real soul history which the dancers certainly seem to like, as do the DJ’s. We’re definitely looking at more nights to follow in the coming months, as there’s a definite vibe happening here again”
The first 7” is slapped on the decks at 8.30pm when it’s only £3 OTD before 10pm, £4.00 after. The bar’s always well stocked, and the prices won’t burn a hole in recession-hit pockets.
