Seaside Soul Club will play host to a Classic Soul Night this Christmas as they take a final opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of a very special record label, Motown.
This year marked 50 years since Motown founder Berry Gordy borrowed $800 from his family to start his own record label, and in the concert room of Smokey O’Connor’s on Morecambe Street on Saturday 19th December, Seaside Soul Club will bring you an evening full of these artists and their special Motown Sound. Artists such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, The Supremes and many, many more specially as Motown Records boasts nearly 200 No 1 songs worldwide.
The opening tracks will be on the decks at 8.30pm and with only £3 entry and well priced bar that won’t burn a hole in recession-hit pockets, it looks like its to be a top night full of seasonal merriment.
